You probably know the feeling of caring so much for something you want it to be perfect. We cannot put enough importance in the way we evaluate the programme, as it is crucial to give each participant the best experience possible and to improve from course to course. 

We designed the evaluation questionnaire in consultation with the Department of Social Science Research at the University of Stirling. To avoid only capturing the temporary buzz of the course, we send them out four weeks after the end of the programme; participants are invited to report the effect Odyssey has had on them after returning home for a month.

The evaluation is marked against a 'Lickert' five point scale ('1' indicating a very negative effect and '5' indicating a very positive effect) to measure the effect of the programme on six factors that can have the most positive impact on cancer patients.

A notable finding is the absence of negative ratings from the responses we have received (a single mark of 2 amongst all responses). These consistently high scores are supported by the respondents' testimonials on the programme.
