Four Corners Expedition
1009 Miles (1614km) On Foot
Tarp Tent – Solo & Unsupported
Nick Ray is one of our amazing Ambassadors and starting on May 1st, 2025, he’s swapped his usual mode of transport, his trusty sea kayak, for a stout pair of walking boots and walking to the four geographical corners of mainland Scotland.
“I will begin at the Mull of Galloway, the southernmost point and walk to Peterhead, the easternmost point. From here I head west to Ardnamurchan, the westernmost point, before walking through the Highlands to Dunnet Head, the northernmost point. The total length of the route I have planned is 1009 miles or 1614 km! I hope I will complete the trek within three months.
I am used to adventurous challenges like this one and I’m confident I will see it through to a successful completion. Nevertheless, it will be an arduous undertaking, especially for a 61 year old man such as me, who has concentrated on paddling a kayak rather than walking in the mountains.”
He’s raising awareness about mental health and raising much needed funds for Odyssey.
