What We Do

Reclaiming life - Support when it’s needed most

Odyssey is a charity, delivering residential courses for people living with and beyond cancer, including those with secondary diagnoses.

We support people at a point where clinical care often ends, but the impact of cancer on confidence, identity and everyday life remains. Our work focuses on helping people feel more like themselves, rebuild confidence and feel more able to move forward.

Through shared experience, challenge and encouragement, participants are supported to try new things, reconnect with their bodies and recognise what they are capable of. There is no pressure to talk about cancer – just space to be yourself.

Odyssey does not replace medical or therapeutic care. It complements it, supporting people to live more fully in the present, even when the future feels uncertain.

Our courses are funded through the generosity of our supporters, making it possible for people to take part at no cost.

“I had a wonderful time, made new friends and have realized that I’m far more capable than I thought following my cancer diagnosis. My confidence and my ability to deal with the day to day have increased way beyond my expectations. I was able to find myself again. During the treatment I was a patient and no longer able to decide about anything. When I came back I was at peace again”.
