Sweden Canoe Trip 2014

The Canoe Challenge:

Canoeing the Harkan River is an unforgettable experience in the untouched nature of the Jamtland Country. You´ll get to experience the authentic tranquillity and peace that rests over the vast forests of Jämtland area as we head down the Harken river and escape into true wildnerness.

This area of Sweden is further north than the Shetland islands and inhabits bears, moose, reindeer, beaver, elk, osprey and golden eagle to name a few. There is no better way to experience this wilderness than via canoe.

We will be self sufficient for 5 days and take all we need with us to cook, sleep and eat.

When? Planned dates for 2024:

Saturday 31st August – Sunday 8th September

Support The group will be accompanied by two very experienced canoe expedition coaches, both Odyssey staff.

Fundraising  The cost of the trip is £1,400. For those who pay the cost of the trip themselves, we ask you to raise as much as you can over and above the trip cost.  If you prefer to fundraise the whole amount this means raising £1,400 to cover costs plus a minimum of £1,500 for Odyssey on top (Total £2,900). We’d love you to raise enough money to send a participant through a course, it costs around £1,500 to do that. Signing up for the trip early gives plenty of time to raise the necessary funds.
